My Last First Day of School...Kinda

Wednesday I spoke to my college advisor and it is now official: I'm graduating at the end of this semester. What feels an absolute eternity in school has actually only been four years. But, a lot can happen in four years. So, now I'm frantically searching for some place to go for grad school. I have a couple of options so far, but I have no idea what will happen. I'm sure I'll end up in the right place.

In other news, yours truly is presenting some of his research at the one and only Rocky Mountain Conference of Parasitologists in Moran, Wyoming. Yep, I spent my summer doing research on pigeon lice. Are you jealous? It's a pretty exciting thing though and I must thank Dale (my boss at the lab) for footing the bill to let me go. This conference will let me graduate with an undergraduate research scholar designation which should look good on grad school applications. Here's a lovely picture of the little box I have spent countless hours in.

I'm taking Aim with me and we are going to spend an extra night in Yellowstone and see the sights up there. I can't wait.

Doesn't that just look great? And yes, that is a paint shaker attached to the counter. It is a high tech device used for getting lice off of birds. The details are a bit messy though.

That's it for now. I'll let you all know how the conference goes. I'm a bit nervous/intimidated to speak in front of experts and pretend I know what I'm talking about, but here goes.
